Rossiter W. Raymond Jean Shamanski passed away on May 20, 2010. She was a 1957 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School, Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania and was payroll manager for BAE Systems in Rockville, Maryland prior to her retirement in 2005. She worked for the company since 1981.
Jean is survived by four children: Carol Apple (Tom), Fay Shamanski (Mike), Walter Shamanski (Noreen), and Sallyann Howes. She is also survived by three grandchildren - Rene Foster, Jesse Apple, and Aaron Apple - and two sisters and a brother - Joan Johnson (Ray), Vienna, Virginia, Catherine Darrup (Jim), Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania, and Robert Lucas (Christine), Kulpmont, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick, who passed away in 1995, and her parents, Joseph and Thelma Lucas.
Family visitation will be at Collins Funeral Home in Silver Spring, Maryland Monday, May 24, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral will be held at Collins Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 25 at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to one of Jean's favorite organizations:
